The Org told us to love and get along with others even if they were an ass. We are no longer under their BS direction. If he's been a disturber then let it ride. If they DF him then go say hi, otherwise he might just turn your ass in to cover his.

My dilemma
by Saltheart Foamfollower ini have a bit of a dilemma that i would welcome advice on from the forum.. a brother in my congregation is giving evidence of having woken up - his comments and talks are usually slanted towards topics discussed here.
he is a former elder and is part of a group of other former elders and ministerial servants who i regularly overhear using terms i would expect to hear from ones knowing ttat.
he is a quite an effective teacher and will probably influence some.. however, in the past he has caused lots of problems for myself and others who i like (including another poster to this site who i have identified) and continues to be someone who i dislike intensely on a personal level.. his comments have been noticed by the body of elders and he is being watched.

I had a part on a CA with another elder discussing worldly trends such as "Starter" jackets. (The big sports team jackets.) It was such horse crap, hated that part. Got into an argument with the other elder jealous of my up and coming status at the time. What a fool. I didn't bend over for him and let him do all the talking. I rather enjoyed making him mad. -

i sort of understand how it can be dangerous for a christian to have association with someone who doesn't share their values, but don't you think that some members take the conceal lied in corinthians 15:33 to the extreme?

If you think this is an exception in your case you are seriously deluded. This repressed bunch of sexaphobes are afraid they will be tempted into bed by anyone of the opposite sex. Mind you it can happen in a restaurant, a car or even a bathroom! EVERYONE IS HORNY! We know what it means to give your future to the Watchtower cult. Alex, do you make better decisions than you did 5 years ago? I imagine your answer is yes. Five years ago you were 9. Think about how different your decisions are now than they were then? Now you are 14. You have gained more insight than at 9. Imagine how different your outlook will be in 5 years when you are 19 compared to 14, or even 18 compared to 14. Feelings are important but life choices ie: girlfriend for life or a religion, need to be made with a balance of mind and heart. You must inform your mind and see the choice before you is bigger than your current experience can recognize. In fact as you let time pass you will grow to see that they aren't really choices you need to make at 14. Take a step back and THINK. 14 is not time for choosing a life partner. From the view of an adult, which you are soon to be, neither of these are a good choice for a happy life. A cult and a girlfriend for life at 14? THINK ALEX.
